Newborn Session Details and Pricing
Hello and welcome to Abigail Kathleen Photography. My name is Abigail and I am a professional photographer based in Berwick, Louisiana.
My newborn obsession is with light, love, joy, and capturing newborns in their first few days of life. Photographing newborns is my absolute passion! I LOVE creating photos that will last a family a lifetime. I truly love it, even more, when parents burst with excitement over my work when they see the final product. I really do love what I do and feel very blessed to have this talent to share with my clients!
A photo, to me, is something that stops a moment in time. To help us remember how you felt right in that moment. The way your baby smells, their touch, their innocence and true beauty of being a newborn. I love to create this recording of art for my clients to cherish every part and moment of their newborn -- from their beautiful eyelashes, squishy lips, and soft wisps of hair, to their tiny hands and feet. In years to come, my images will take you back to the day your newborn was tiny enough to fit into the palm of your hand and the days when they fell asleep on your chest.
I am an easy going studio light photographer. While I always have a plan for our session together, I let your newborn take the lead and very much work to your baby's needs. If you have anything, in particular, you'd like in your session, I certainly welcome your suggestions. My aim for every session I do is to produce art quality images that become signature pieces for your home. I specialize in maternity and newborn photography. I have been photographing and handling newborns for a year now and your baby's safety is of the utmost importance to me.
It is best to contact me sometime in your second trimester (ideally around 20 weeks) if you are interested in having a newborn session booked. This allows for me to notate your due date and to allow sufficient availability around that time from for your session.
Full Newborn Session
$550
Newborn sessions consist of 2 beanbag poses and 2 prop shots. This also includes EITHER a parent shot or a sibling shot. This can be a 2-3 hour session.
Petite Newborn Session
$450
Newborn sessions consist of 1 beanbag poses and 1 prop shots. Parent and sibling shots will be an additional cost. The session can last anywhere between 1-2 hours.
Wrapped Session
$350
Newborn sessions consist of 2 wrapped setups. An example would be the picture above. Parent and sibling shots will be an additional charge. This session can last between 1-2 hours.
Lifestyle session
$470
Newborn session that occurs in your home, so keep this in mind when booking! Your home will be the backdrop! This session is 1 hour and comes with an online gallery. Travel fees may apply if you live outside of the Morgan City-Patterson area.

Pricing Policies: *The deposit requirement is due at the time a session is booked. *Session fee is non-refundable. *Balance must be paid in full prior to session date. *A 24-hour notice by phone, email, or text is required to cancel a session. Failure to give notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee. Unfortunately, I must charge this in order to compensate for the loss of a session due to failure to cancel in a timely manner and my inability to book another session on such short notice. All payments made toward a collection are non-refundable.
